SMITH'S BRIDGE DE-02-01#2, the former bridge was destroyed by fire in 1961. It was re-built in 2002 & dedicated on January 11th, 2003. It is built of "Bongossi wood", an African hardwood known for its natural resistance to decay, rot & fire. It is located on Smith Bridge Road, west of Route 202 just below PA state line. The GPS location is Lat. 39.8375N & Long. -75.5793W.
ASHLAND BRIDGE DE-02-02 Town Lattice Truss, built c. 1870, is located on Brackenville Road,ESE of Yorklyn. The GPS location is Lat. 39.7982N & Long. -75.6575W.
WOODDALE BRIDGE DE-02-03#2 Town Lattice Truss, built c. 1870, was located off Foxhill Lane, northwest of Wilmington. It was destroyed by flash flood waters on Sep. 15, 2003. The GPS location is Lat. 39.7660N & Long. -75.6370W.
