SMITH'S
BRIDGE DE-02-01#2, the former bridge was destroyed by fire in 1961.
It was re-built in 2002 & dedicated on January 11th, 2003. It
is built of "Bongossi wood", an African hardwood known
for its natural resistance to decay, rot & fire. It is located
on Smith Bridge Road, west of Route 202 just below PA state line.

BRIDGE DE-02-03#2 Town Lattice Truss, built c. 1870, was located
off Foxhill Lane, northwest of Wilmington. It was destroyed by flash
flood waters on Sep. 15, 2003. The
